This booklet features The Exeter Riddling Rhymes by Bristol
poet/writer/artist Ralph Hoyte. The rhyme is set in one
continuous line on a poster which wraps around the cover.
Inside, a glossary explains some of the more unusual words
and phrases in the poem, the inspiration for which came
from the idea of ‘seeing’ the landscape as pure language,
with references to evocative locations and customs found
in the south west of England (such as Burderop Hackpen
and Draycot Foliat and the ‘ticklish boy bishop’).
