The Arts Council England Writers’ Awards scheme
demonstrated its commitment to encouraging new writing
talent, buying time for the winners to complete a literary
work-in-progress. Northbank designed the accompanying
anthology which contained extracts from the work of the
winners next to portraits and a cover by photographer
Kelvin Rogers. There were also additional stunning images
of individual flowers – photographed by Marcus Ginns –
suggest the nurturing and growth of each writer highlighted
by the scheme.
